Two rivers, wisconsin
Role: art director
Agency: civicbrand
completed: 2020
deliverables: moodboard, logo suite, brand guidelines, implementation plan
Two Rivers is a small town but home to a state park, printing press museum and Lake Michigan.
I came into this project after the first trip had been taken so I had the challenge of jumping in right in the middle of the research phase. Early moodboards and design concepts were already underway by the time I was able to visit for the first time.
I created moodboards which lead to a full logo suite and brand guidelines. Two Rivers had an interesting story behind their former logo that featured a scene of the lake with a boat and light tower. It came upon the area naturally, designed by a local when the Police Department was in need of a new badge design. I wanted to hold onto that history for them and it became a huge influence to the design.
In addition to the visual aspect of the brand, the team also developed the slogan “True to Two”. Several concepts were created to show how they could implement that into their brand messaging.
